Vac Aero Press Release
VAC AERO’s heat treating operation in Oakville, Ontario continues to maintain its position as a world leader in the processing of aircraft landing gear components. VAC AERO is now heat treating critical landing gear components for many large commercial aircraft programs including Boeing 777, 777LR, 747-800 and Airbus A380 (commercial and freighter versions). New contracts for processing Boeing 787 and Airbus A320 landing gear components will be underway this year.
In addition to its role in large aircraft programs, VAC AERO has long held approvals and continues to be a major supplier to smaller commercial aircraft programs for heat treating landing gear, structural and engine components. These programs include Boeing 737 and 757, Airbus 319, Dash 8-400, Canadair RJ and many other business jet programs. Through its operations in Ontario, Quebec and Poland, the company also provides heat treating, brazing, welding and coating services for such diverse engine programs as Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PW600 series for the new very light jets and Sikorsky’s latest military helicopters.
